I am selling a 10 month old, unaltered, male long haired Dachshund puppy. Both of his parents are unregistered Dachshunds. He has beautiful shaded red (black overlay) hair and is a loveable pup. Although he is considered a long haired Dachshund (daschund, dashound, weiner dog), his hair is a nice, soft and manageable medium length.
He is happy, playful, energetic and loves to give "kisses" yet will sit on your lap or cuddle beside you for hours, a typical Dachshund lap dog even at 10 months old! He loves children and is very gentle with the children under 7 that he lives with. They approach him, pick him up and carry him around without hesitation or complaint from the dog. He would do great in a home with children and would also be a wonderful companion in an adult home. He is great with other dogs of all sizes and has always lived with another dog, from lab to a toy breed. He would do fine lapping up all the attention as a sole dog in the home too.
He is house broken, travels well, kennel trained for night time, comes when his name is called and is starting to sit on command. He is a smart dog that should be easy to train.
He is approximately 13 lbs, close to 9 inches tall at the front shoulder and is 17 inches long from base of neck to base of tail. All of his shots are up to date and not due again until April .
